The Education and Social Work Student Association (ESSA)
Welcome to the Education and Social Work Association - Te Kāhui Tauira o Te Kura Akoranga me Te Tauwhiro Tangata - a student-run organisation to enhance student life on campus.

What does ESSA do for students?
The Education and Social Work Student Association (ESSA) works hard to make the experience of being a student at the Faculty of Education and Social Work a positive, fun and relaxed experience.
It's an association run by students, for students, and everyone can get involved.
Some of the things ESSA does includes:
- organising social and sports events to bring students together and develop a sense of student community
- providing welfare services such as free breakfast, food parcels, free sanitary products
- assist students to apply for AUSA Hardship Grants
- representing students, through class reps, to make students' views known to the faculty
- training and development courses for students
Although ESSA's based on Epsom Campus, it's not just for students in Auckland. It also supports students on the Tai Tokerau and Manukau Campuses and runs events specially for them.
