The BSc/LLB(Hons) takes 5 years (10 semesters) if you are studying full-time. You will need to complete 675 points, including:
- 255 points from BSc courses
- 405 points from LLB(Hons) courses
- 15 points from a General Education course*
*We recommend you choose the Science Waipapa Taumata Rau course (WTRSCI 100) as your General Education course.
In your first year, you will need to complete three Stage I core Law courses, and four Stage I courses from the BSc. You will also take WTRSCI 100.
You will continue to take a mix of Law courses and Science courses in each of your second, third, fourth and fifth years.
To complete the full programme within five years, you will need to enrol in 135 points per year, which exceeds the standard full-time enrolment of 120 points per year. Alternatively, you may choose to enrol in 120 points per year over five years, followed by an additional semester of 75 points, enabling completion of the programme in five and a half years (11 semesters).
You need to maintain a Grade Point Average of 3.5 each year to continue with your conjoint.
The LLB(Hons) includes a combination of core courses, and a wide range of elective courses, including Corporate and Commercial, Public, Criminal, International, Family and Environmental Law.
The BSc includes core courses from your selected major or majors. You may choose to complete a single major or a double major on the BSc side of your conjoint.
