International Exchange

The Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM is a scholarship program supporting international exchange of university students who wish to complete a one or two semester exchange at one of the University of Auckland's exchange partner universities in Baden-Württemberg.

John Asher Prize in Stage I German

A prize of $180 awarded annually to the student who, in the opinion of the examiners, has done the best work in German at Stage I level.

John Asher Prize in Stage II German literature

A prize of $180 awarded annually to the student who, in the opinion of the examiners, has done the best work in German literature at Stage II level.

Roland Marleyn Memorial Prize for Excellence in German Literature

A prize of $200 awarded for excellence in literature at Stage III.

University of Auckland Study Abroad Scholarships (Languages and Literature)

The Scholarships enable BA, BA(Hons) or MA students in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish to undertake a period of formal study (minimum of four weeks) in a country where the language is spoken as the first language, thereby providing an opportunity for cultural immersion and first-hand experience of the language, and to provide additional encouragement to pursue study at postgraduate level in languages and literatures.

Werner Droescher Prize in German Linguistics

A prize of $150 awarded each year to the student who, in the opinion of the examiners, has shown the greatest distinction in German linguistics at any level.
