H A Montgomery Memorial Prize

An annual prize of $1,250 awarded to the student who has done the best work during the year in logic (broadly understood to include formal logic, the foundations of mathematics and applications of logic to other systemic study within the arts and sciences).

Philip O’Carroll Philosophy Scholarships

A scholarship of up to $3,000 p.a. for promising BA, BA(Hons), PGDipArts, MA or PhD students in Philosophy.

Richard Anschutz Prize for Stage I Political Philosophy

A prize of $100 awarded to the student who achieves the highest mark in PHIL 103 Freedom, Rights and Justice.

Sir Robert Jones Scholarships in Philosophy

A scholarship of up to $5,000 p.a. for students majoring in Philosophy who have completed their first two semesters of Stage I Philosophy courses.

Postgraduate scholarships in Philosophy

GWR Ardley Philosophy Masters Research Award

An award of up to $2,000 for New Zealand citizens and permanent residents undertaking a masters thesis in Philosophy to assist with research costs.

A scholarship of up to $3,000 for promising BA, BA(Hons), PGDipArts, MA or PhD students in Philosophy.

Peter Kraus Scholarships in Philosophy

A scholarship of up to $10,000 to support students enrolled in a masters degree in Philosophy.

Professor Robert Solomon Memorial Scholarship

A scholarship of $1,500 to support subsequent postgraduate study for the highest achieving student enrolled in a BA(Hons) in Philosophy.

Woods Philosophy Teachers Scholarships

A scholarship of $3,000 including compulsory tuition fees for secondary school teachers completing postgraduate study in Education who are enrolled in PHIL 701 Philosophy for Children – Theory and Practice.
