Student events

The Faculty of Education and Social Work offers a wide range of events throughout the year, so no matter what you're interested in, you can get involved.

A taste of our yearly faculty events

BBQ and Beats

Ease into the first day of Semester One with BBQ and Beats, a free event at Epsom Campus. Get stuck into games and activities, chill out on the beanbags, capture your first day in the photobooth and find out more about student clubs and uni life.

Pōwhiri

At the beginning of your learning journey, you will be welcomed onto the faculty marae as manuhiri and become tangata whenua, as part of our wider whānau of students and staff.

Celebration days and cultural events

From Pride Week and Te Wiki o te reo Māori to Sustainability Week and Politics Week, our students love to get involved and celebrate themed days and weeks throughout the year, with a range of fun events. Stay tuned to find out more about our events in 2021.

Sporting competitions

Join the 'Education and Social Work Doggies' team and take on the other faculties at our Inter-faculty sports competitions. It's a great chance to get active, meet new people and show off your skills in the sporting arena.
