Global Studies allows Leah to study what she is passionate about.
Programme: Bachelor of Global Studies / Bachelor of Design
Major: Human Rights and Global Politics
“I study Global Studies with a major in Human Rights and Global Politics with a conjoint in Design.
“I decided to study Global Studies when I went to the University Open Day, and I found the lecture very inspiring and felt like it was something I could do with my future.
“I would describe studying Global Studies to future students as really studying what you’re passionate about. You have so many opportunities and gain a breadth of knowledge that you can really take anywhere. And that’s what I find particularly interesting about the degree.
“Global Studies is a way that you can shape yourself and find new parts of yourself through the knowledge that you gain. I think it’s a really amazing opportunity to learn things you never thought you would learn and see perspectives from everywhere.
I would describe studying Global Studies to future students as really studying what you’re passionate about.
“I have found the way that I’m able to apply Global Studies to my conjoint and Design particularly interesting. All the skills and knowledge that I have gained through my studies are applicable in the way that I design and the way that I create solutions.
“My plans for the future are broad and open, which is something I really enjoy about the Global Studies degree. I’m able to take it anywhere, but I plan on using both my Global Studies degree and Design degree to create better solutions for the future.”
