With a BA/BCom conjoint, you can combine your core courses in business and enterprise with a wide range of subjects in the humanities, social sciences, cultures and languages.
You can develop skills that are essential for adapting and thriving in a fast-changing, globalised economy. You will be able to use your knowledge and skills in many different careers and employment settings.
The BA/BCom usually takes four years to complete.
You will need to complete a total of 540 points, consisting of:

You can choose one or two subjects as your major(s) for the BA component of your conjoint, and will probably take four or five BA courses each year. To find out more about structuring the BA side of your study, see Planning your BA conjoint.
The BCom component comprises eight compulsory courses: six Stage I core courses, one Stage II core course and one Stage III capstone course. The Stage I core introduces you to different areas of business and provides a foundation for your chosen major or majors. You are strongly encouraged to complete the Stage I core courses before progressing to the courses required for your major or majors. Explore the range of BCom majors and career opportunities.

You may not major in both Employment Relations and Organisation Studies in the BA component, and Management in the BCom component.
Completing a second BCom major may require additional courses and extend the duration of study.
You will probably enrol in nine 15-point courses (135 points) each year if you wish to complete in four years.
You need to maintain a Grade Point Average of 3.5 each year to continue with your conjoint.
Most students need to take one General Education course.
Students should also be aware of the University’s Academic English Language Requirement.
