Engineering Science study tracks

You can focus your Engineering Science study on your area of interest by your choice of electives at Parts II, III and IV.

You have a wide selection of elective options and can design your degree to fit your interests. The following study tracks are suggestions only, based on selections that have worked for students in the past. We cannot guarantee any particular combination of classes will work in the timetable.

If you start on a particular track and find that your interests change, you do not have to stay with that track.

If you prefer to keep your electives across a wider range of areas, you do not have to choose a track at all. To help you with this, we have a range of suggested elective options.

The only limits to what ENGSCI electives you can take are the prerequisites, co-requisites, and restrictions of the individual courses, which may be found in the course/prescription section of the University of Auckland Calendar.

Regardless of what electives you take, your 'major' in your BE(Hons) is your specialisation - Engineering Science.

ENGSCI 772

ENGSCI 772 is the only ENGSCI course with a prerequisite that is not one of the compulsory courses of the BE(Hons) in Engineering Science programme.
