For schools

We offer a number of services to inform and encourage high school girls to consider engineering.

The Women in Engineering Adviser provides information for female secondary school students about studying with the Faculty of Engineering, as well as the career opportunities that exist. This includes visits to schools and community groups, hosting groups on campus, and having individual conversations with female students who are considering a future in engineering.

Our Women in Engineering (WEN) Outreach team, which consists of of current female engineering students, is also available for school visits during Term 3 in 2018. Options include a one-hour session which includes a hands-on engineering activity suitable for a classroom, or a shorter presentation suitable for a careers evening, university information evening or a school assembly. Their aim is to introduce students to the huge variety of career opportunities in Engineering, and to showcase female engineers and engineering students.

If you're interested in hosting a session at your school, please contact our Women in Engineering Adviser.
