Your Part IV Project is an opportunity to really focus on one area of interest, and will span almost the entire academic year.
A Part IV project is undertaken in the final year of undergraduate study, and is a highlight of both the Biomedical Engineering and Engineering Science BE(Hons) programmes.
Projects are research-based, bringing together and building upon what you have learnt throughout your degree. The project culminates in a presentation, which is an opportunity for students to report back on their findings and get a taste of communicating to a mixed audience on a professional level.
In the past, the presentation involves both a seminar series with a parallel poster exhibition – we have since altered the format of the latter to webpages so we can showcase your research to an even wider audience.
A formal dinner follows the Part IV presentations, and includes the presentation of prizes for Best Talk and Best Poster.
