The heart app by Auckland Bioengineering Institute’s Cardiac Mechanics Group has been recently adopted by Whānau Tahi for health literacy training. The app made its debut at the Whānau Tahi booth during the 2017 Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) Conference, which is New Zealand’s largest digital health event. At this event, Whānau Tahi gathered further feedback on the app from potential users such as healthcare providers and the clinical community. This display is a result of the ongoing collaboration between Whānau Tahi and the Medical Technologies Centre of Research Excellence, which is hosted by the Auckland Bioengineering Institute.
