Before hiring our instruments you need to have a profile set up in our booking system and accounting software called iLAB. 

Provide Dane with the following information and he will set up your profile.

Once registered, iLAB users can directly login to see instrument schedules. 

You’ll be able to:

  • View instrument availability
  • Track your usage
  • Submit a project request to be evaluated by the manager. This reviews the scope of the project to provide an estimation of feasibility, cost and time required.

Usage charges

  • Charges are hourly with a minimum of one hour
  • Charges for instruments and workstation are on time used and not booked time
  • ABI and Med Tech CoRE projects are subsidised – contact Dane for rates

MicroCT instrument and operator

  • UoA and external institution $85
  • Commercial and industry $150

MicroCT instrument self-operating

  • UoA and external institution $50

Workstation hire

  • UoA and external institution $20
  • Commercial and industry $50

Additional services requiring facility staff

  • Image reconstruction, 3D visualization, movies, analysis and reports
