Inaugural Business Masters Alumni Celebration

Last month we hosted a Business Masters alumni celebration, bringing together staff and alumni from the Business Masters programme for a special reunion event.

It was a great opportunity for everyone to reconnect while reflecting on the topical business theme of 'Data is the New Gold'.

Alumni speakers included David Unger, Louis Jackson and Rachel Poon.

"It was an absolute pleasure to welcome so many Business Masters alumni back to the Business School, and to hear about their varied and exciting careers," says Ruth Dimes, Director of the Business Masters programme.

"These events are not only a great opportunity to reconnect with peers and faculty but also a chance to share valuable and frank insights on working life related to a topical theme - all in the spirit of lifelong learning."

The Business Masters programme at the Business School was launched in 2013, open to both domestic and international students with an undergraduate degree in any discipline who would like to pursue a business career.

Thus far, 15 cohorts of students have been through the Business Masters programme, and there are approximately 2,000 Business Masters alumni around the globe.

A five-year anniversary event was held in 2018, and since then, Auckland-based alumni from the programme have been wanting to reconnect on a more regular basis. Thus, going forward the Graduate School of Management will be hosting this alumni event annually on the first Thursday in November – so if you are one of our Business Masters alumni, get the date into your diary!
