Market adaptation and product localisation

Our students can analyse local market requirements and develop recommendations for adapting products or services to meet international market needs whilst managing standardisation trade-offs.

Potential scope

Your project may focus on:

  • Research and analysis of consumer trends and needs and subsequent localisation requirements
  • Analysis of the local regulatory and compliance requirements
  • In-depth analysis of local competition, including product/service range offered in the local market, evaluation of specific characteristics or features, distribution channels and pricing strategies

The specific focus will be determined through initial discussions about your adaptation and localisation needs, what data/information you can make available, and the amount of time/access to people that can be provided.

Suitability

Ideal for:

  • Companies facing standardisation-adaptation decisions
  • Organisations encountering regulatory barriers internationally
  • Businesses needing product/service modification for cultural fit
  • Firms balancing global efficiency with local responsiveness

What you will receive

Students are informed by current analytical and consulting frameworks, robust market research, and academic knowledge. The objective is to offer your organisation well-informed analysis, recommendations and fresh perspectives on your market adaptation and product localisation plans.

Projects can be completed individually or in groups depending on the programme your project will be assigned to.
