The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of end-to-end payroll functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires high level of confidentiality, integrity and strong analytical skill. You will take responsibility for administering fortnightly payroll in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate information is provided, setting up and managing employee records. Key Position Objectives include: assist in processing payroll for employees on a fortnightly basis using iPayroll; work with internal stakeholders to produce quality outcomes; maintain Payroll records and ensure data integrity; respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters; calculation and input of final pays; take ownership of payroll related projects; collaborate with People & Capability and finance team; stay updated on relevant laws. Key Skills

Ideally the candidate will have the following: bachelor's degree in business or related field; at least 1+ year’s experience in payroll administration; a sound understanding of NZ payroll legislation and Holiday Act 2003; an intermediate level of Excel skills; ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels - for example, ability to explain complex scenarios with simplicity to aid in understanding for the specific audience; demonstrate a “can do” attitude; experience working successfully with internal and external teams and vendors; ability to comprehend problems and analyse needs; ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information; ability to drive creative, innovative ways to deliver complex projects successfully while identifying potential risks from external factors such as other projects, resources, or external entities; people skills: teamwork, stress tolerance, conflict resolution, motivation and career drive; previous experience or knowledge of US payroll would be an advantage.

There will be a rotation of 6 weeks in Business Advisory and 6 weeks in Audit service line - that way you can make an informed decision for your graduate service line.
