How women in Aotearoa, New Zealand, use social media for sexual/reproductive health information and support.
We aim to explore the role social media plays when it comes to the often taboo topic that is sexual and reproductive health.
What's involved?
This anonymous survey will allow those assigned females at birth or who have ever/currently identified as a woman to reflect on and acknowledge their experiences with accessing social media for sexual/reproductive health information and support.
Participants who choose to take part will complete a 10-15 minute online anonymous survey using Qualtrics. The responses will be analysed thematically.
This study will help to contribute new knowledge of how women use social media to seek support and find information about their sexual/reproductive health.
If participants choose, they can provide their contact details separately to their answers to learn more about the findings from this study.
No Koha or reimbursement will be offered to protect the anonymity of participants.
Eligibility criteria
- Assigned a female at birth
- Have ever or currently identify as a woman
- Are over the age of 18
- Are a member of the public based anywhere in New Zealand
- Are fluent in English
