Custom Finance project

Our students work in small teams on custom projects that draw on their finance academic knowledge to solve real-life finance challenges for organisations.

Your project may focus on topics such as:

• Financial performance analysis and peer organisation comparison
• Excel-based financial modelling and scenario simulation
• Data analysis, network modelling, or forecasting
• Business intelligence for financial decision-making
• Statistical or econometric analysis of finance-related topics
• Machine learning applications for financial analysis
• Sustainable finance-focused research and analysis

We'll assess if your project is compatible with the academic knowledge and capabilities of our students, and our course learning objectives. The scale of the project must allow it to be completed over a period of about 8-10 weeks. The deliverables depend on the nature of the project but will include a report and a presentation.

Students offer fresh perspectives informed by current academic knowledge. Projects are completed as part of their learning and provide exploratory insights rather than professional consulting advice. 

When you express interest, we will evaluate if your specific project is compatible with the academic knowledge and capabilities of our students and our course learning objectives. 

If your project is accepted, it will go into a queue to be allocated to a student or student team. 

Projects are completed during our academic semesters or quarters, with students spending 8-10 weeks working on the project.
