Our Business School ASB Careers Centre hosts a wide range of employer networking events, including presentations and workshops.

We encourage you to attend as many events as possible. Not only are they full of useful information and tips but they’re a fantastic way to start developing your networks and introducing yourself to recruiters.

Employer presentations

Improve your prospects in the competitive graduate recruitment market by attending employer presentations.

We advertise them in BizStudent Update, on the screens in OGGB and in MyCDES.

Numbers are limited so book your place on this website or on MyCDES.

Speed networking events

Throughout the year, the Business School holds speed networking events for students in Accounting and Finance, Marketing, ISOM, Property and Passport to Business. These events help you showcase your skills to industry, meet potential employers and practise your networking skills. Events are advertised in the BizStudent Update newsletter.

Business Career Expo

The 2019 Business Career Expo will be held on Level 0, OGGB Building (room number TBC).

Career expos are a great way to network with potential employers and find out about the internships, graduate programmes and job vacancies they are offering.

Deloitte Re-orientation Week

July 2019
Re-orientation week is an opportunity for students (including first-years) to think about career options. Graduate recruiters look for well-rounded candidates, with a portfolio of transferable skills. During this week talk to Deloitte representatives to find out more. Events are a mix of fun activities, competitions, workshops and presentations.

ICON Week

September 2019
Are your networking skills as polished as your GPA? Are you on track to achieving your career aspirations? Looking for that all-important advantage over other candidates? Wanting to secure a summer internship or graduate role next year? ICON (Identifying Career Opportunities Now) will give you valuable insights into a range of business careers. It will also help you become recruitment-ready.
