The Business School Hardship fund provides short-term, immediate support to Business School students experiencing unexpected financial pressure.
We understand that the unexpected can happen at any time, and this can impact the well-being of our students and their ability to focus on their studies. We strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment for students to ask for and receive the support they need.
This fund is for our students experiencing unexpected financial pressure. It provides immediate, short-term access for essential support to temporarily reduce stressors and improve overall well-being.
Who can access this fund?
Students actively enrolled in a Faculty of Business and Economics degree at the University of Auckland can access this fund.
How the fund can help
The type of immediate support that can be provided includes:
- Supermarket vouchers
- AT HOP or petrol vouchers
We can also assist with accessing the broader University of Auckland financial and personal support options available to students. This could include:
- Accommodation costs
- Student emergency fund
- Scholarship opportunities
- Health and counselling
