Supply Chain Workshop 2026

Thursday 16 April and Friday 17 April 2026

The Centre for Supply Chain Management at the University of Auckland is pleased to host the Supply Chain Workshop 2026 on 16 and 17 April 2026. The workshop brings together researchers and industry partners to share current research, exchange ideas, and strengthen links between academia and practice.
The workshop is open to faculty members and PhD students with interests in supply chain management and related fields.

Programme Overview

Day 1: Thursday 16 April 2026 – Workshop Day

What: Plenary session, contributed research presentations, and an “After 5” industry networking event (finishing by 6:30 pm)
Where: Sir Owen G. Glenn Building, University of Auckland, Auckland
Start time: 9am
Cost: Free of charge

Day 2: Friday 17 April 2026 – Site Visits

What: Organised site visits to supply chain and logistics organisations (limited availability). Each visit will include a site tour and presentation/Q and A with a senior manager/executive.
Where: 4-5 locations around Auckland
Cost: $85 (including GST)

Places on the site visits are strictly limited. Preference will be given to workshop participants delivering a presentation on 16 April. Participants must arrive at the Sir Owen G. Glenn Building by 8am for an 8:15am sharp departure via coach. Lunch and morning/afternoon snacks/drinks will be provided.

The final visit will be from 4:45-6:45pm at Auckland International Airport (attendees may leave prior to or after that visit, e.g., to catch a flight). The coach will return to the Sir Owen G. Glenn Building by 7:15pm.

Participants who indicate their interest in attending the site visits on the Day 1 registration form will receive a link to register for the site visits, if spaces are still available. Preference will be given to workshop participants delivering a presentation on 16 April. However, a small number of spaces will be reserved for delegates not delivering a presentation. Payment is required to confirm a place.

Registration

A registration link for Day 1 will be available on this website by 19 January 2026. The registration link for Day 2 will be sent via email to participants who have registered for Day 1.

Research Presentations

We welcome research presentations on any aspect of supply chain management. Abstracts should be 200 words or fewer and submitted as plain text.

All abstracts will be reviewed by the workshop organising committee. Authors will be notified of acceptance decisions after the submission deadline.

Two types of oral presentations will be offered:

  • Full Research Presentations: 25 minutes total (15-20 minute presentation followed by 5-10 minutes for questions)
  • Work-in-Progress Discussion Sessions: 25 minutes total (10-minute presentation followed by 15 minutes of questions and discussion)

An abstract submission link will be provided on this website by 19 January 2026.
