Shall I risk it? How do you perceive risk of asthma attacks?

Ever wondered how we perceive something as risky or not? We are currently conducting some research at the University of Auckland looking at how people perceive risk and asthma attacks.

What's involved?

One way of improving asthma care is to find out how we can best communicate the risk of asthma attacks. To do this, we are looking for people who are interested to take part in a short 5 to 10 minute anonymous survey online – you do not need to have asthma to take part.

In the survey you will see some information about asthma attacks presented to you. After seeing this information, you’ll be asked some questions about your understanding of the information, your preference and satisfaction with the risk presented and how it has affected your views about asthma attacks in general and any future action you may take.

All participants who take part will be offered a summary of the results when the study is completed if they wish. Participants will be entered into a prize draw for 5 x $50 Giftpay vouchers should they wish. If you wish to receive a summary of the findings or be entered into the prize draw, you will be redirected to a separate link to provide your email address and contact details so we can keep your survey response and contact details separate to ensure anonymity.
