Trans-Trasman Internet-Delivered Prevention of Youth Suicide Study (TIPS)

The University of Auckland is conducting a study of four different apps designed to support young people who are feeling low, overwhelmed or stuck and who may have had suicidal thoughts. The study is looking at whether the apps really benefit young people.

What's involved?

Participants will complete three short online surveys. Each survey takes about 10 minutes and is completed via Tirohia. They will use an app for around 5 minutes a day over a 30-day period.

The first survey is completed at the start of the study. The second survey is completed after 30 days of app use. The third survey is completed three months after downloading the app. Participants will receive $30 in online gift vouchers as a thank-you. They will get $15 after completing the second survey, and another $15 after the third.
