Haokun Du
Haokun Du is a graduate from the University of Texas at Dallas with a PhD in Management Science (Concentration: Operations Management).
His research focuses on pricing and revenue management with a special emphasis on practical challenges and real-world implementations. In his research, he employs various research methodologies including game theory, optimisation, lab experiments, and econometrics.
Two of his current focuses are retail and two-sided markets: with the former, he studies the sourcing contracts between supplier and retailer, as well as the pricing strategies utilised by the retailer to end customers; with the latter, he studies the operations of two-sided platforms by designing policies that have provable performance guarantees.
His broad research interests and research methodologies inspire him to keep searching for research questions that are relevant to both practitioners and academics, and he is always open to potential research collaboration.
