Research interests

Our research spans the complete continuum of cancer sciences; from prevention to fundamental discovery science, translational research, clinical treatment and whānau-focused care. The purpose of our research is to improve outcomes across the entire patient journey.

The Department of Cancer Sciences creates a critical mass of cancer researchers and clinicians across the University of Auckland, Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand, research institutes, community partners, and international networks. Together, we will build the evidence, capability, and partnerships required to advance cancer sciences and cancer care for future generations.
