School of Nursing postgraduate orientation

We are pleased to offer orientation training in basic academic skills for new and existing nursing students.

Academic skills

We are pleased to offer sessions about the academic skills that support our students to succeed. You can choose to attend a 'postgraduate orientation to academic skills' session either at campus or online.

Attendance is viewed as highly recommended for all new postgraduate nursing students and is encouraged for existing postgraduate students, who wish to further develop their academic skills.

The aim of postgraduate orientation session is to:

  • Share useful tips and online resources for academic success
  • Demonstrate search strategies to find electronic and printed resources, essential information for students assignments

There is no charge associated with attending these sessions. Please remember to ensure that you bring your UPI/NET ID and password.


It is essential that you RSVP to these sessions using the contact details below, as places are limited. Please provide your student ID number and ethnicity when you RSVP.

If you are attending a session on campus, you are welcome to bring your own device.
