Xiao found herself drawn to studying in Tāmaki Makaurau because of the strength of our programmes and the beauty of our motu.

As an avid hiker with an interest in geology, I was immediately drawn by the breathtaking landscapes, excellent range of hiking trails, and volcanic formations. At the same time, the country offers an intersection of cultures as rich and robust as the aroma of its morning coffee."
For me, to be in a place so connected in diversity in nature and people is a great privilege in this point of my student life.
