Postgraduate study in Nutrition

Dietetics Postgraduate Courses

Master of Health Sciences in Nutrition and Dietetics enables students to become registered Dietitians under Dietitians Board New Zealand (DBNZ).

This two-year full-time programme of study will provide learning in a broad range of nutrition related areas including medical, applied and sport nutrition; public health nutrition; food systems management and professional skills. Student learning is supported by expertise developed through small group learning and 20 weeks of placement in a range of nutrition settings.

Nutrition Postgraduate Courses

Postgraduate Courses which can be taken as part of a Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, or Masters in either Health Sciences, Public Health or Science.
Our postgraduate courses provide:

  • Students with an advanced level of understanding of critical thinking in nutrition.
  • Opportunities to work with international leaders in their field and conduct research from ranging from basic science, clinical applications, and population health.

And in combination with work experience some of our qualifications could be used for registration as a Nutritionist (see NZ Nutrition Society for regulations).
