Teaching and learning
The Department of Anaesthesiology delivers courses across disciplines at an undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Our department delivers teaching across Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy. We also provide postgraduate courses, including two masters level papers and special topic papers.
Teaching areas include:
- Airway management
- Anaesthesia, intensive care, peri-operative medicine (including acute pain management), chronic pain management and resuscitation
- Circadian biology and animal behaviour, fatigue, performance and implications of shift work
- Diving and hyperbaric medicine
- Pharmacology
- Safety and quality in healthcare and related medico legal issues
