Grafton campus study space

A variety of quiet and group study spaces are available on the Grafton Campus.

Quiet study space

The Philson Library is home to the Student Hub on the Grafton Campus and has quiet study areas around the back of the Library. It is located on level one of building 503.

The Grafton Information Commons is located opposite the Philson Library and has individual study desks and non-bookable computers for quiet study.

Building 507 has a signposted quiet study area on the ground floor at the end of the corridor by reception.

Group study space

Group study tables are available on a first come first served basis at the following locations:

  • The Student Commons in building 507 room G073 and room G071 opposite
  • The Student Commons opposite the Philson Library.

Group study rooms are also available for booking.
The Philson Library has five bookable group study rooms available to students from all faculties.

Students from the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences may book a teaching or meeting room on the Grafton Campus for appropriate group activities where spaces are available.

  • To book a teaching or meeting room, complete the FMHS Student Room Booking form. Please note, to book after 6pm requires an additional safety checklist to be completed.

After hours

After 6pm and on weekends, students should use the Philson Library and Information Commons for study.

You can enter building 507 from Park Road or Park Avenue, Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6.30pm. The building is closed during public holidays.
