Taking a closer look at the eyelid margin

This study aims to better understand changes in the eyelid margin in contact lens wearers.

Dry eye disease affects up to one in three people in New Zealand, including contact lens wearers, and can be associated with changes at the eyelid margin. The aim of this study is to gain a better understanding of these changes and techniques to evaluate the lid margin, which will lead to better management options.

What's involved?

Participants must visit the University's Grafton campus once, for approximately 1 hour.

As a thanks for participation, a petrol or retail gift voucher of $20 will be offered to each participant.

Eligibility criteria

You may be eligible for the study if you:

  • Wear soft contact lens
  • Are over the age of 18
