"I completed a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Exercise Science in 2023 and was fascinated by the application of exercise prescription to clinical populations.”
"The programme allowed me to combine my medical interests and exercise physiology with hands-on clinical practice. I am also very passionate about health promotion, particularly the importance of incorporating regular exercise into a balanced lifestyle to optimise one's health-related quality of life.”
"The clinical placement shifts in the Health and Rehabilitation Clinic has been the most valuable experience for my learning. Each day is different; from initial consultations to exercise testing and prescription, each new situation I am presented with provides an opportunity to build upon my skills and apply my clinical knowledge in a practical setting."
Working with and providing individualised rehabilitative care that positively impacts our patients has been highly rewarding!
"I highly recommend the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology degree. Clinical Exercise Physiology is a new and exciting profession expanding in New Zealand, where your expert and valued skills within the allied health profession are unique and ultimately life-changing for clinical populations. If you're interested in the practical application of exercise and medicine, I would definitely recommend applying for this programme!”
"The University of Auckland provides such a supportive atmosphere for students to follow their passions. Throughout my time here, I have enjoyed building valuable connections with peers and staff within the Department of Exercise Sciences, and truly appreciate all of the support provided to me as a lifelong learner."
