Faculty of Science Orientation Day is filled with information to help you be prepared for the start of your new degree.

Orientation is our way of welcoming you to the Faculty of Science and making sure you are prepped and ready to start your new degree. You’ll discover all the facilities and support services at the University and have the opportunity to meet other new students.

Science Orientation Day for undergraduate students

Semester One

Time: 9am-2.30pm (arrival from 8.30am)

Science Orientation Day for postgraduate students

Semester One

Monday 23 February 2026
Time: 2-6pm (arrival from 1.30pm)
Location: Sir Owen G Glenn Building (12 Grafton Road, Auckland CBD)

  • Registration opens at 1.30pm
  • 2pm: Pōwhiri
  • 2.30pm: Kai and networking
  • 3pm: Science faculty session
  • 4pm: UoA 101 PG
  • 5pm: Campus tour
  • 5.30pm:  Social gathering

International Orientation

Find out all you need to know about studying at the University of Auckland, living in Auckland and enjoying your New Zealand experience during Orientation week. We also have online orientation scheduled for those of you studying offshore. Through a comprehensive series of information sessions, you’ll learn about all the support services available to help you reach your academic potential.

This programme is for all students, both undergraduate and postgraduate.
