Goldie Estate Vineyard
Our working vineyard on Waiheke Island provides Wine Science students with opportunities to learn in a boutique winery.
In July 2011, the Goldwater family gifted Goldie Vineyard and its related wine business to the University for use as a Wine Science teaching facility.
The 14-hectare vineyard is planted in classical varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Chardonnay.
Alongside the vineyard are areas of bush and wetland that provide valuable habitats for many native plant and bird species.
