The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers undergraduate specialisations in Mechanical and Mechatronics, as well as several postgraduate options.

Undergraduate study

You can pursue a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) specialising in one of the following:

Mechanical Engineering

Mechatronics Engineering

Conjoint options are also available so you may combine your Engineering degree with a selection of other programmes. 

Postgraduate study

Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering

You can pursue a PGDipEng in one of the following:

Because this is a research programme, you may also explore different topics in the field, such as Medical Devices and Technologies, but will still graduate with either a Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering specialisation. Find out more about the ME.
