A Scholarship to support New Zealand citizens and permanent residents enrolled in a BCom or BCom/BE(Hons) conjoint degree in Information Systems and/or Software Engineering.

The Scholarship was established in 2021 and is funded by Gentrack, a New Zealand technology business specialising in innovative cleantech solutions, in memory of Professor Victor Portougal, who was an academic staff member in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management, with research interests in management science and information systems.

The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support Information Systems and Software Engineering students with an interest in cleantech, sustainability powered by information systems and operations management.
