The Prize was established in 2016 and is funded by Natalie Chung in memory of her partner Jacob Marx. Jacob was an intelligent, compassionate and spirited person with a passion and thirst for knowledge. Jacob thoroughly enjoyed his years at the University of Auckland and had hoped to pursue postgraduate study in History in the years to come.

The main purpose of the Prize is to recognise and reward the students who achieve the highest marks in undergraduate History courses at the University of Auckland and display a passion for History.

You do not need to apply for this scholarship, award or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.
